is on the third floor of our big old crumbling Victorian house.

I love it.

It is packed with stuff and usually very untidy.

I have about fifteen clocks in here, mostly homemade.

At least one of them shows the correct time.

I also have lots of stuff hanging from the ceiling.
See if you can spot my homemade mobiles.

The Artist at Work

Okay, this is actually my daughter Alice's doll
(her name is lower case emily)

sitting in for me.

She draws pretty well.
She also drinks a lot of coffee.

The computer, with some of my clocks ticking away above.

I love pendulums -- the best thing about a clock, don't you think?

The clock with the green face and yellow ears plays a chime on the quarter-hour.
I love that.

Messy palette

Nice little sofa for studio visitors.

Also very good for short naps,

or for very long ones, if you happen to be the dog.

lower case emily usually shares the sofa with the dog
-- when she's not working, that is.

The view from where I sit.

Beyond the cluttered drawing table is the Wall of Clutter

A closer view of the Wall of Clutter,

featuring some more of my clocks.

(Can you find five?)

I have a lot of books.

Some of them are signed by the artists who illustrated them,

which thrills me quite a lot.

My children are allowed to look at them
only if they are very careful with them
and put them back nicely.

Okay, that's it, because I refuse to show you my
Extremely Cluttered Closet.
Thanks for the visit!
